  •  Mitt would have to be hiding (6+ / 0-)

enormous sums for him to be richer than the Koch brothers. Their fortune is estimated at between 40 and 50 billion dollars, or somewhere between 160 and 200 times Romney's reported wealth.

    •  Yeah, that's a lot to hide, even for Mitt. (2+ / 0-)

But he's worth a hell of a lot more than the piddly little 250 million that's been reported. I don't think anyone doubts that at this point.

more importantly he thinks like a privileged rich person, but do not confuse that with wealth of the Koch brothers' magnitude.

There's a reason that Mitt is the one out on the bus (or private plane), schlepping around the country shaking hands with people he's clearly not very comfortable with and sticking his foot in his mouth, while the Kochs aren't even breaking a sweat, buying the election behind the scenes.

If we lose this election, control of this country will rest in the hands of a group so small that they could fit comfortably into my living room. They've been working with singleminded purpose towards this goal for almost 50 years, since the defeat of Barry Goldwater. They can afford (literally) to take the long view. They've patiently invested many hundreds of millions of dollars directly in building the conservative infrastructure that underpins this election, as it has many in the past.

Compared with them, Mitt Romney, son of a successful businessman who also happened to be a decent man, is a mere parvenu and an untrustworthy vehicle for the advancement of their goals.
