mostly silent. Come fall, we start the 12th year of war.

There is no good news coming out of Afghanistan.

At least 41 international troops have been killed so far this month in Afghanistan.
Over 50 billion spent in past 11 years training Afghans and they are still not ready.

If we cannot leave Afghanistan until the Afghans stand up, based on the past 11 years, are we expecting a miracle in the next 2 1/1 years?

How many more will die this month? this year? this decade?

    Bring them home!

force whereby we have an all volunteer force so the casualties are not so immediate to the general public as it would be if we still had a draft

the more we rely on drones.

No body bags or body counts, at least not bags or counts that matter to Americans. Afghans are no one's daughters and sons, no one's neighbors.  No bad PR at all.

Droney makes war not just palatable but positively scrumptious.
