Newsweek is an American weekly news magazine published in New York City. It is distributed throughout the United States and internationally. It is the second largest news weekly magazine in the U.S.

ever more irrelevant with every passing day.

    •  yeah... 2nd in a market that has shrivelled (0+ / 0-)

substantially. They are doing even worse than newspapers... papers still have things that are a daily habit for a lot of people... Weekly news? I used to in days gone by... catch up with recent events... enjoy the special articles etc but in the internet age they do not have much of a market anymore. Older people cut back on print media and most of the magazine market has been badly hit.

So there are essentially 3 weekly news mags... just like there have always been... Time, Newsweek and US news and world report... and they stayed in that order pretty much for most of the time since all three have been on the market in competition. so the big race is to see which of the bottom two goes first? or if they all somehow persist as their on-line incarnations...

So Second largest is also second lowest... just like Time is only two from the bottom... and USN&WR is only two from the top!!
