If he ever actually said that "he would have been fine with Hitler in charge of Europe if it meant the end of the Soviet Union and Communism," he should be smeared with that shit until the day he dies.

If it's merely implied, he needs to be questioned about it until he sweats a river.

"Minus two votes for the Democrat" equals "plus one vote for the Republican." Arithmetic doesn't care about your feelings.

    •  He's too slick to come right out and say it, but.. (0+ / 0-)

Ferguson makes all the obligatory nods to "Nazis were evil", but it's clear he's just phoning it in.

His real position on history and world affairs is most obvious in his latest repellent book-length screed, Civilization: The West and the Rest. It's a long rancid diatribe lamenting the decline of Western dominance of the globe, because somehow the ruthless British colonization of India brought 'civilization' to the inferior third world masses, and they're not sufficiently grateful for their bayonet-point education. Ferguson is a classic armchair general, sipping his single malt Scotch and ranting about how much better things were back in the 1920s. Before the natives got all uppity.

It's impossible to read 'Civilization' without detecting a sneering 'boody wogs' in almost every paragraph.
