news outlets across the country with this headline: Health experts dismiss assertions on rape

But which gave only three very brief paragraphs to quote the real experts.  The remainder of the report--11 paragraphs of this supposed "dismissing akin's assertions on rape" instead repeated Akin's claims, the claims of his other GOP and fundamentalist supporters, and the "experts" they are quoting.

I hope that some real reporting with real experts refuting this "absolutely nuts"--and outrageous garbage from Akin and Co comes out very soon--and that they will do so without giving 3/4 of the report over to Akin's loony claims.

who already knows how ridiculous Akins' statement was, it was somewhat informative in that it gives some background on wingnut thinking. The typical NYT reader would fall into that category. The problem is that apparently the lazy media across the country simply saw it as "balanced" and ran with it.
The ACOG statement should be spread widely on facebook and twitter.

The founding fathers knew of the mutually corrupting influences of Church and state, wisely sending them to opposite corners.
