They are in no way Christian.  They have turned their backs on the Judo/Christian values that they were taught as they grew up.  Look up Nuns on the Bus.

I consider myself a little (c) christian. That is, I believe in the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament in their broadest senses: love, kindness, and forgiveness. I suffer no such delusions that would make me accept that Adam and Eve were actual and historical figures, nor that a guy named Jesus did a Houdini act-- dying on the cross and then, miraculously, springing right back into action 3 days later. Or that Mary got knocked-up by a mystical being (would that be legitimate or illegitimate rape?).

Madness lies therein, and that doesn't barely cover the weird shit in the Old Testament. Being a little c christian is a lot easier. You take those bits and pieces that are worth defending and discard the rest. I think love, kindness and forgiveness are quite enough for me.

Ironically, I will continue to pray that I work towards those christian values.
