  •  O Wiseone, how do you do it? Congrats on grab! (10+ / 0-)

Missed this one. looked in wrong place, I guess.
and was distracted by shocking news.
spoiler. what follows is R rated.

I did my daily dawn check of Guardian/media page, found nothing and went onto to real life things, such as...Prince Harry's cavorting ..For while the Guardian missed the hackgate story, it did inform us where nude photos of Prince Harry forbidden to be published in Britain can be found online.

"Are you bluish? You don't look bluish," attributed to poet Roger Joseph McGough, for the Beatles' Yellow Submarine (1968).

    •  Ah now that (7+ / 0-)

"forbidden to be published in Britain" line is a bit suspect.

Lots of newspapers and Journalist figures are trotting out the " oh woe is me, it's a disaster, but due to the evil lord Leveson we're unable to bring you these pictures of prince Harry"

Now if you look at it, it isn't really Lord leveson which will be acting as a restraint, It's pictures taken in a private room, so papers Lawyers may be considering the risk of legal action over that.

I personally see two reasons for this restraint, firstly the chance to strike back at Leveson, and thus try to derail the enquiry and return to business as usual, and secondly to increase their sales when the publish the pictures in the paper versions tomorrow.

However, if inability to publish grainy photos of the nude prince is the reason to derail an inquiry whose origins are in the tabloid's own hacking of said prince's [or brother's] and their staff's phones, the instance is not going to get them very far.

as for public interest, which was the excuse they would give for publishing details of politician's affairs as it was proof of their hypocrisy, I can see no public interest defense is showing that a young unmarried man on vacation has taken his clothes off.

besides, what happens in las vegas stays in las vegas.

now had he taken his clothes off in a commonwealth country, maybe there would be a constitutional reason to publish the photos....and put the young prince in the tower ;)*

        (heaven forefend).

Prince Harry's antics blamed on broken home, family living off taxpayers, growing up on estates & time spent in institutions. Via Twitter..
