  •  Where's the diversity (6+ / 0-)

at Romney campaign events? If you look at the back drop at Obama events, there's always women, minorities, young, old directly behind the podium. Everytime I see Romney on TV, his backdrops are always just white folks.  It's like his image handlers don't even bother.

The very first ad Romney ran nationally featured not a single minority face.  Just more white folks in every frame.

I predict Romney will go some point before this election is over.  It will get that dirty...

    •  And, I gotta say, they are a glum-looking lot. (0+ / 0-)

The Obama events picture people who are ecstatic for a glimpse of their guy, reaching over one another to touch him, cameras at the ready everywhere, huge smiles, lots of children and teens.  Romney's rallies seem to be very staid affairs.  So far, at least.  Soon, if he continues this line of campaigning, we might see the  rade-filled, misspelled signs and gun-toting "patriots" come out to greet him.

have looked like Klan rallies for quite some time... it has been a good while since they made any serious effort to achieve diversity; it was easier in their estimation to disenfranchise as many non-whites as they could and then make sure the white voters were sufficiently afraid to make the non-white vote nearly irrelevant...

Fear doesn't just breed incomprehension. It also breeds a spiteful, resentful hate of anyone and everyone who is in any way different from you.
