    Defying the party bosses is going to play into Akin's favor. This may not play well with independents, but most of the sane ones are voting for Claire anyway. There are just too many rural Republicans in MO. Remember, we're the ones that gave you Dana Loesch and Rush Limbaugh.

    Our best bet is to hammer him out of the race. Force the Republicans to fight it in court, put somebody no one has ever heard of on the ballot, and then hammer that individual as being the choice of the Republican establishment. Suppressing the Tea Party base is the only way to hold this seat. If Akin runs all the way, we will lose.

    It's not 11th dimensional chess; it's just chess. And he's KICKING YOUR ASS.

      is being lost in all of this is just how important it is for McCaskill to run a strong campaign. That will be the make or break.
