  •  No, but he was a Senator (8+ / 0-)

That's the dig Ryan is getting at. Funny thing, he was in the House and apparently did some insider trading on the information he had about the coming crisis. Why the frack is he on the TV reminding people of the Bush era failures he helped create?

Romney's religion is only an issue because he's a high priest in the Church of Mammon.

Obama might have done something like this for financial gain, since President Obama is very transparent about his investments.

But, Ryan's final question is about political gain, not financial gain. So maybe he's trying to blame Congress because the Democrats controlled both houses at the time. However, he still included "the president" in the list.

For me, Mitt reminds me of Jeff Bridges in Starman. He's like an alien that hasn't read the entire manual. You know, he's going, "Nice to be in a place where the trees are the right size. -- Robin Williams on Letterman 26 Apr 2012

sequence.  He exists in his own mind in the ineffable present.
It's the thought that counts. What he imagines is real.

"All it takes is the idea."  Intent is all, no action needed.  He's out of touch.  They both are.  It's what they have in common.
