  •  I lost my job, working for an architect, in 2009 (9+ / 0-)

after every bank had stopped making construction loans, and then my boss's bank froze all commercial lines of credit.

I was initially enthusiastic about TARP, because I wanted to save the commercial banking infrastructure that small business depends on. It seemed like a good conduit for getting stimulus funds into the economy quickly.

Needless to say, I was severely disappointed when little or no TARP money actually materialized in the form of lending. But I credit some of our elected leaders with have the same good intentions that I did.

PBO is not an "austerity" President. He's consistently pushed for infrastructure spending, aid to help states to avoid layoffs, middle class tax cuts and extended unemployment benefits.

It's our TeaPuppet Congess and Millionaire Senate that's to blame.

    Have you noticed?
    Politicians who promise LESS government
    only deliver BAD government.
