Republicans targeting black neighborhoods in Baltimore and Prince Georges County, urging them to vote on Wednesday Election Day, leaflets urging blacks to vote but warning them they will be arrested at the polling place for any unpaid parking tickets if not paid by election day, other leaflets falsely claiming that Ehrlich had been endorsed by certain black Democratic elected officials, and a robocall to voters in black neighborhoods the afternoon of election day telling the people they didn't have to vote because the Democrats had already won.  Bob Ehrlich did this all 3 times he ran for governor, sucessfully in 2002, unsuccessfully in 2006 and 2010.

"We have always known that heedless self-interest was bad morals, now we know that it is bad economics." Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Jan. 20, 1937

Philadelphia on election day to urge residents of Prince Georges County to vote for him.  The "canvassers" had no idea what was going on, just that they got $100 and a free lunch.  Some of them were pretty upset when they found out how they had been used.

Fortunately the good residents were not fooled by Ehrlich's shenanigans and voted him out.
