  •  It will be worth watching Feingold to see (4.00)
if he comes out swinging on this.

He didn't say much, if anything, at the last hearing.  But that was right after the divorce announcement.  He looked like he could hardly recall his own name.  And it wasn't until afterward that he finally said he would vote against Bolton.

I definitely will be watching Kerry, Sarbanes, Boxer, Dodd, and Biden.  They were great there.

Obama was good, but he came so late -- and, of course, he has to have the least seniority on that committee.

    •  I guess it wasn't surprising, (none)
given the circumstances, that Feingold was so quiet.  But he's not by nature the shy and retiring type (not that any senator is - with the possible exception of Chafee, who appears to me to be in WAY over his head), and I imagine he'll have plenty to say on Thursday.

They all will.  I can't imagine they're taking well to the stonewalling - even Dodd and Biden are pissed off.  A five hour session.  Can't wait.  I hope they spill all the evidence.  What do they have to lose?

      •  Yes, the Dems were so orchestrated (none)
that I figured his silence meant that he understandably had missed the planning meeting. . . .

And a five-hour session?  Whee!  I'm going to have to fill a cooler with sandwiches to have by my side so I don't miss a thing for meals!

        •  Orchestrated. (none)
Glad you brought that up - I noticed it as well.  They each had their own line of questioning and set of pointed questions.  It was fascinating to watch:  "When Democrats Attack."

It didn't seem to take Lugar by surprise that they were so well prepared.  That's why he was working so hard to cut off discussion and take the vote.   If the stakes weren't so damned high I'd say it was great entertainment.  Riveting.
