  •  women evidentally don't fit his definition of life (15+ / 0-)

Ryan would define women as conception receptacles: brood mares.

A small bunch of cells is to be defined as life, endowed with all the rights and protections of personhood. A bunch of cells that are to be protected from the woman in whose body they have taken hold.

The woman's right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are stripped away and her personhood exchanged for the role of brood mare. She is not even afforded protection from the bunch of cells. If she has to forfeit her life for the bunch of cells, that is sad of course, but that is the role of a conception receptacle. She must die, even if the bunch of cells die, too.

A brood mare is normally considered too important to be treated in such a manner. In Paul Ryan's world, it appears brood mares are several steps more valuable than a woman.

I don't know why people think this guy is smart. I haven't heard him say one intelligent thing. When he talks all I can think of his how much he looks like a turtle working a shell game.

He reminds me of the VitaMix guys who insist that pulvering your vegetables (with their machine, of course) is the secret to a long, happy, and prosperous life.

    •  Good point about brood mares. (5+ / 0-)

An actual brood mare is considered a valuable investment (and sometimes a tax deduction, too). Her health would get more consideration than that of a human woman in the And Ryan world.
