and I've been digging around in this general area of corruption (admittedly only as a concerned amatuer, though) since the early eighties.

Remember when Hillary mentioned that "right wing conspiracy" thing and got totally burned for even making the comment? Thanks to you, this subject is finally getting substantial, and obviously well deserved, attention. There is no longer room for simple unthinking disblief.

and working to organize and compile the documents we've acquired to develop a clearer picture of the overall agenda and categorize their initiatives.  As each began to develop, we found all these sub-"plots" if you will, showing how they've been manipulating much of our government - agencies and legislatively.  Their involvement in corrupting our Judiciary made us realize that they have completely compromised two of our three branches of Govt.

When we turned our attention to the third - executive - and looked at the candidates put forth by the GOP, we were not surprised (but stunned) at the number of ALEC members or affiliates on the primary circuit; Gingrich, Bachmann, Cain and Perry.  Realizing they already had alum in Boehner and Cantor and had compromised Thomas, Alito and Scalia on SCOTUS...Hillary's claim of a right wing conspiracy became real in our minds.

Still more to come on the heels of this expose, unfortunately.  Everyone needs a breather from the steady outpouring of information, but if they stop to exhale too much gain will be made 'cause ALEC sure as hell isn't pausing...

      •  In the manuscript I wrote in 1983, a "novel/ (0+ / 0-)

political manifesto of Democratic Socialism", I postulated, among numerous other things, a deep pocketed protagonist who did a "contest/grant program" (to the tune of $250 million, as I recall) where "scholarship" support at the level of a million dollars each was given to a nationwide group of budding left wing polticos. The premise was that a generous level of support (and a mil back then was far more than today, obviously) widely spread, would seed a promising group from which a whole generation of progressive leadership would eventually spring.

What I imagined, Bushco implemented (or the mirror image)?
