of people from both parties he felt that he could work. Jindal still has some Democrats as Chairman.

Obviously a Dem governor would want to ensure that he could cobble together some working majority.

Ben Nevers, an incumbent Senator in a conservative area who won narrowly in 2011 is the Chairman of the Judiciary A (no clue why, but they have 3 Judiciary committees, A thru C) Committee despite the comittee being 4-3 Republican, Judiciary B is 5-2 Democratic and has a Dem chairman, Judiciary C has a Republican majority and chairman.  Democrats have a 4-3 majority and chairman on local and municipal affairs committee.  Democrats also chair the Ag etc. Comittee despite being outnumbered 5-2 there.  Democrats have a 4-3 majority on the Transportation, etc. committee, but the Chairman is GOP.  Same case with the Insurance Committee, but the Dems have a 6-3 majority there.  Democrats have a Chair on the Retirement Committee despite GOP having a 6-1 majority.  GOP holds health and welfare committee 5-4, but Democrats have the Chairman.

      Hail to the king, baby.
