    I enjoyed your post, but coming from someone on the ground, I have to disagree with some of your assertions.

    Cassidy will run. He has a massive war chest and he's going to have the Jindal machine behind him. If he is the nominee against Sen Landrieu, he is the slight favorite.

    The Tea Party is not as strong here as it is in other states. I think he has the best shot at making the runoff, even if crazy Rep Landry were to challenge him.

    I do wholeheartedly agree, Mary Landrieu is far far far more progressive than her reputation. I'd say she is one of the most valued Democrats we have, and I plan on fighting hard for her.

    Mayor Landrieu would be a fantastic statewide candidate. Like Sen Landrieu, he'd romp in Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Plaquemines, Tangipahoa, Washington and St. John the Baptist parishes.
