    At the GOES weather satellite site you can see the Caribbean view and animate it. The last 3 images of whatever length series you choose shows thick clouds have re-surrounded the eye and it has regained the classic strong tropical storm or hurricane appearance.

    •  Yeah, I just added the new images. It's getting (6+ / 0-)

      worse in the visuals, but the storm log still shows low wind speeds. The storm log shows the storm went west by northwest (1.5/.2 lat/long) at about 20 MPH.  I think the 5 pm report will show a more sobering report for the Gulf Coast.
