    that the difference lies in the fact that peafowl are often kept as farm animals or yard animals - some sort of domestic setting.    Like chickens.   Or parrots.   Unlike, say, a sparrow or robin.     You don't see too many Rhode Island Red chickens roaming around, and when you do - you'd probably call them wild or feral.
