  •  weather patterns are different in FL (6+ / 0-)

I live in the town where I grew up in the 60's... a little town on the east coast called Merritt Island. The differences in climate (and so in weather) are noticeable for sure. When I was a kid we could set our clocks by the afternoon rains in the summer, and the first cold snap was ALWAYS the weekend of the Fall Fair at the local Catholic church. Not so anymore -- the patterns are far more unpredictable... sometimes drier and hotter, sometimes cold snaps like we never used to see. It's gotten tough to keep the mango trees going, that's for sure!
