    of natural gerrymander (blue areas concentrated in generally urban and near suburban areas) and using that as a base, GOP using political gerrymanders. This is not only Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but smaller cities throughout the state, Scranton, Erie, Allentown/Behtlehem, Reading, etc. It's essentially why the state senate seems to be GOP dominated in perpetui.

    But if Pa. continues a trend towards blue in the Eastern section (east of the Susquehanna) should be less red overall. And Corbett (like the fine Ohio and Wisc. governors) did not RUN as a teabagger. Even now he's more a traditional right ideologue than not.

    IF Democrats can break the GOP stranglehold on ag then perhaps in 2014 they can break the 8-year itch of Pennsylvanians to change the governorship party.
