  •  No, I use that very carefully, 99% of the time... (5+ / 0-)

It's when I put the comment to 4 final tests. True? Kind? Necessary? and How can it be misinterpreted?

Sometimes I see the 1% goof (ok, 5%) just after it posts, others get brought up in comments.

Yeah, the places that have a 2 minute window to edit are that much better. I don't want preview to disappear. It really helps to see the whole thing, not just the box. I c & p from a word doc a fair amount. Still preview.

what are these things you speak of! ;)

      •  And before white out or correction tape... (0+ / 0-)

there were special typewriter erasers that were a little grittier than even pen erasers, made like a pencil with a ~1/2 " nylon bristle brush on the end.

Yeah, forgot those or are too young to remember ;)

I remember the copier predecessor: the Spirit duplicator, which was erroneously called a mimeograph.

THE Headache: typing carbons and making a mistake that had to be corrected on 1 or 2 carbons. YUCK

I should make up a little sign for the printer and monitor to remind me of the tedium we used to have...
