good luck with the surgery.  the cortizone shot will help.  last year i had 3 trigger fingers (two of which were actually thumbs) and a carpal tunnel surgery.

wanted to add that it takes a while to heal but the surgery definitely was worth it, and to wish you good luck with it.

thanks again for starting the liveblog.

one-handed... will pretend i'm doing "western dressage"!  and i've told my trainer that she can "lunge" me on sani so i don't have to hold the reins!

two months before they will do hand #2 - about six weeks recovery on the surgery.  i heal fast so i'm guessing maybe a bit sooner.

the real trick will be one handed typing here on the great orange.  right before the election, too - oct. 10 - 3 days after m'birthday! and a month before election!  i will NOT be slowed down (much).

(heh - guess it's been a bit too active this political season...) on right hand.  left hand is first surgery - then right hand two months later.

four fingers total joint replacement - arthritis getting worse and since i make my meager living making things, i need to get this done while it is covered by medical.  there are some advantages to losing unemployment benefits - like no copay and food stamps to offset the disastrous drop in income.

sigh... small blessings out of disaster... but i'm not complaining.  my "disaster" is nothing compared to those sitting in this storm right now.

that's serious surgery!  i hope you heal quickly so you can get back to making things.  our hands are so vital to us.

i'll be posting a ton of stuff prior to the surgery if i don't want to get bounced out of where i'm living.  sigh.  working through sore hands to keep from working without roof.

the surgeries will cover almost four moths of "down time".

two months per hand... but in the end, i'll be able to work again instead of losing function in my hands.
