  •  Cracker Bay (ex: Campbell Bay) (10+ / 0-)

    Hakvoort Shipyard

Hakvoort is situated in the historic and beautiful village of Monnickendam. Located on the shores of the IJsselmeer lake about 8 miles north of Amsterdam, we are a mere 15 miles away from Schiphol International Airport.

The 45 meter Campbell Bay is one of the pinnacles in Hakvoort's yachtbuilding history. The luxurious Andrew Winch-designed interior provides a comfortable and relaxed environment for long-distance voyages.

Accommodation for up to 12 guests in six sumptuous staterooms makes this yacht ideal for large families and charter parties. A taste of the yacht’s remarkable features includes exceptional woodwork, Italian marble, mosaics, exquisite fabrics and various works of art. Her technical outfitting is such that she can be chartered for around 20 weeks a year.
In ensuring optimal reliability and safety, Hakvoort worked in close cooperation with the first knowledgeable owner and highly capable project manager.

We didn't build that , the Dutch built that .

    •  Oh those optics: Cracker Bay is in South Africa (7+ / 0-)

Port Shepstone, to be exact, sayeth Google maps.

With all the bays in Florida and in the Cayman Islands, why name your boat for one in South Africa, inquiring minds ask.

Let's home the owner was a US citizen, else his donation of the use of his boat is open to question....

    •  The Dutch are famous for their yacht building (0+ / 0-)

skills (let alone ship building), they produce many of the worlds finest yachts. As a very small nation, they do know how to fit into a niche market.
As a materr of fact, the very word "yacht" comes from them IIRC.
