    He's not a complete idiot and he sees as well as anyone that the GOP needs to recover some portion of the Latino vote, because they're never going to get the black vote.
    So, Latinos are acceptable to these racist fucks, but black people never will be?

    Or, maybe "Hey, Latinos -- come vote for us! You don't want to be like those black people, do you?"

    They could have anyone's vote they wanted, if they were willing to honestly earn it.

    So, if they're never gong to get the black vote, it's because they don't want it. And Latinos should be wary, because the GOP WILL lie to get their vote, if they think they can do that without upsetting their racist base.

      used to lean conservative. Certainly the older Cuban population in Florida did. But the GOP has done a masterful job of alienating the growing Latino population across the country with it's downright bigoted, xenophobic rhetoric. They have painted them as "other" and it's not sitting well. When you've got GOP-controlled states passing draconian immigration rules it's hard to argue that you're inclusive.
