  •  When you have no sense of time and no (0+ / 0-)

sense of sequence and live in an ineffable present, then you can prevaricate and confabulate to your heart's content. And, when you never actually do anything, taking the intent for the act is the perfect out.

It all works in apparently mysterious ways, but once you've got the key, it all makes sense. You see, Obama wanting or intending the plant to stay up and running meant, from the conservatives' perspective, that it was as good as done.  Then, when it didn't happen as he said, he failed.
If it had been George Bush, it would have turned out different, just as it did when Dubya intended to bring democracy to Iraq and succeeded (Mission Accomplished) because nobody that really counts questioned the results.
See, the Democrats' problem is all in the follow-up. If they just stayed with the program and did nothing, they would be just like conservatives.

Take time out of the equation and you're in the conservatives' ineffable present.
As Bill Clinton said, "it all depends what the meaning of is is."  Does 'is' refer to a present that is distinct from past and future, or does it refer to all time as a single unit?

Is it possible to lie if one has no sense of time?

Willard's forte = "catch 'n' cage". He's not into "catch and release."
