      Grover fights back. He looks like he fights dirty, too. Besides, given how many Congressment have signed Norquist's pledge, he might have wider support in the GOP than Romney. Oh, no, Norquist and his followers will be treated like royalty.

        until the knives come out, and wind up in Norquist's back.

        He has no more power than what they give him. He doesn't hold any office. He can't do anything to them. And if the people who back him decide he's served his purpose, he will be gone overnight.

        And if just one of those elected officials shows up just how empty his threats are, he will be remembered in the same way as Father Coughlin. And for just the same reasons.

          has to win a competitive race despite shiving Norquist before anything changes.  No other GOP pol will cross him until he's been proven unnecessary to their chances of reelection.  Self-preservation nearly always rules in politics.
