  •  Not just bizarre but sad. Never seen him like that (14+ / 0-)

I really didn't get most of what he was trying to say, did you?  I think the joke on Biden was okay.

But really - he thinks it's a bad idea for lawyers to be president? Uh, Jefferson, Madison, both Adamses, Monroe, Van Buren, Tyler, Polk, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan, Lincoln, Hayes, Arthur, Cleveland, Harrison, McKinley, Taft, Wilson, Coolidge, FDR, Nixon, Ford, Clinton and now Obama.

The War in Iraq - he seemed to agree it was a bad idea. War in Afghanistan - "why don't you bring the troops home tomorrow" - the Repubs didn't know whether to shit or go blind on that statement.

I partially agree with Repubs - it COULD have been a refreshing change of pace from politician's speeches, especially since they were all full of shit and lies.

But, man, what came out was just sad. I'm really sorry to see it.

by election to the state assembly. The year at Columbia was all he needed to be considered a lawyer, perhaps the leading political lawyer since Lincoln.
