I am really getting fed up reading the "he's not like the rest of the GOP at the core" apologist crap.  Look, Eastwood is like Romney.  What they REALLY believe is anyone's guess.  What we do know is that they retain the Republican cloak and appear prepared to say or do just about anything -- from debasing the presidency by talking to a chair on a national stage to blessing outright lies on a daily basis on the campaign trail -- to see the president defeated.   Democrats need to disabuse themselves of this annoying tendency to be quasi-apologists for Republicans, painting them as more palatable libertarians, and latching onto random positions that make them seem sane.  The GOP is a party that now traffics in hatred.  Anyone calling themselves a Republican is complicit with that hatred. Jon Huntsman, to his credit, understands that and said he won't be at any Republican gatherings in the future.  Eastwood chose to be there.  Let him -- and the GOP-- deal with the consequences of their madness.  And for God's sake, Democrat, stop being apologists for these assholes.

I vote Democratic because I am a woman with self-respect , who rejects bigotry of all kinds, subscribes to science, believes in universal health care, embraces unions, and endorses smart internationalist foreign policy.
