  •  Lemme get this straight. (7+ / 0-)

Cantor agrees to an interview with Fortune in which he is unprepared to explain his attack on exactly the same reform, cutting waste in the Medicare Advantage program, that he whipped and passed Paul Ryan's budget plan during the current Congress. This guy has a big House staff and yet they don't prep him for this straight forward question at a time when the opposition is yelling liar, pants on fire about the $700+ billion cut that Cantor and Ryan voted to cut and that Obamacare (because he does) actually implements. To paraphrase the late Casey Stengel, can't anybody there play this game?

I'm beginning to worry that the GOP campaign may continue to screw up so badly that it will evoke a sympathy vote. Poor Mitt, he and the Boy Wonder do try so very hard. But neither of them has much relevant knowledge of what life is like in America, so they can't help but stumble around when they must interact with the workaday folks who do know American Life. Everything that people like Romney, Ryan and Cantor know is wrong and they have no one around them to teach them any better, so carefully do they surround themselves with others as wrong as themselves.

The stain of Bain is wrecking Romney's name. h/t to Lerner & Lowe

huge lies that they have finally painted themselves into a corner in which it will be very difficult for them to lie their way out of.

      •  Except that they will never need to get out of (2+ / 0-)

that corner. That's where they like to be, I think, so that they can rally their base into thinking they are being persecuted, tormented, or otherwise abused by the media, liberals, Hollywood, etc, ect...

They're perfectly content to live out the rest of eternity moving from one space to the other, in a perpetual "draw" game of chess with the rest of the universe.
