Is a known side-effect of drugs for acid reflux. A lot of the problems I have at 60 are similar, high cholesterol drugs are toxic to me. But really, I keep thinking that when I am 80, what will I do for insurance? If these guys win, they won't stop at my healthy, 51 year old runner husband. They will try their best to creep up the vouchers to people like me, not yet Medicare age. The people voting now are signing away their own future, not just people in Medicare later.

    •  Well, and once Medicare is no longer Medicare, (5+ / 0-)

but government medical insurance (an important  but insidious difference), do you actually think that there will not be arguments from the GOP to run it like an insurance company? Maybe not to the extent of refusing insurance to some (although it would not surprise me...probably based on any lifetime discontinuity in care), but to increase premiums for the sickest?

is my thought. Go in and ruin the program to continue their "government doesn't work" plan. As this hurts women the most(as women live longer, rely on Medicare more as many did not have some pensioned job with other care) - this is just more of their war on women, as far as I am concerned.

And all my elderly relatives vote Republican, too, darn it.
