  •  I think they'll look for Bill Clinton to answer it (24+ / 0-)

They'll definitely want to preempt the inevitable question.  Why is it inevitable?  Because Reagen said it, and GOPers can't help themselves.   The thing is 4 years ago GWB was still Pres and many wondered if life as we knew it was over.

    •  Americans need to be reminded ... (5+ / 0-)

" ... and many wondered if life as we knew it was over."

Does no one remember the many news reports on FDIC, and whether or not those of us who were fortunate enough to have savings would be able to recover our money if our bank was the next to fail?

I know the Obama campaign doesn't want to go negative, but reminding people how deep the Republican abyss was is imperative when those same Republicans are rewriting history before our very eyes.

    •  WHERE THE HECK is GWB hiding... his favorite rock? (0+ / 0-)

8 years of "selection" by Supreme Court/2000 and proven vote fraud/2004.

DEMS better STAND UP for people and TRUTH - not their corporate sponsors... or we the people will lose all.

“Today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups... unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power… and it is an astonishing power: that of creating whole universes, universes of the mind. I ought to know. I do the same thing”

remind people that all the mouthy 2012 Rs voted for all the crap that made the mess. Especially stuff they now claim that on principle they oppose. There's no way he would be able to be present and not remind voters of what he did, since he boasts about it.
