    For years, we've had one car that goes on trips and one that doesn't.  So the Leaf is my wifes commute car and both ours for errands and evenings out.  Works a treat.  The range is very sensitive to a variety of factors - how you drive, whether you use climate control, lights, etc.  I'd say the mid-70s is about right as an average.  In spring and fall daytime driving around town it can go over 100.  In super-hot weather with the AC working hard, it drops a lot.  Unlike gas-engine cars, and for reasons I don't fully understand, it gets better mileage around town than on the highway.  Part of the difference may be its ability to recapture energy in braking/coasting - so that some of what you expend accelerating from a stop is recaptured at the next stop.
