For many of these instinct-driven people, speech is their only talent.  It's how they communicate their needs and it's how they prompt their fellows.  It's not the content that counts, but the speaking itself.
Very perceptive. Like, "evolution" and "global climate change," the right talks about these phenomena a lot but few among the conservative base know much, if anything at all, about either.

But I suspect the right wing "puppet masters" understand more than they let on, because, if nothing else, they need to use the truth to mediate their lies. Do the Koch Bros. understand GCC? My bet is they are already licking their chops over drilling rights in the arctic after the sea-ice dissipates or disappears completely.

to get ahead of the complaints against dirty coal and bought up a bunch of mineral rights for materials that, when combusted along with coal produce less pollution -- i.e. clean coal.  And then, the money went to natural gas development, in part because the pollution of the ground-waters that aren't in a drinking-water aquifer are not protected from contamination.  So, the natural gas people thought they could kill two birds with one stone by pumping various waste liquids under-ground and forcing the gas out. A legislative loophole made that possible.  Whether it's state or federal regulation that's ineffective, I don't know. Pulling their money out of Pennsylvania, one of the main fracking locales, suggests they didn't think getting rid of Bob Casey in the Senate would help.
I've been paying attention to Koch Industries since 2008 and while I think they're savvy businessmen, I don't think their judgment of people is too great. And, they've got a bit of a chip on their shoulders.
