    I don't have the exact dates at hand, so I will trust Wikipedia for this timeline:

    -graduated HLS in 1991 (unstated, but presumably that would be in May 1991)
    -accepted position at U of Chicago in 1991 as visiting fellow
    -directed Project Vote from March to October 1992

    So, by that timeline, he was at U of Chicago before he was with Project Vote, for which he worked 6-7 months (i.e., not a year).

    You may be correct that he began teaching at Chicago in 1992--his first position from 1991 to 1992 was as a fellow, which was probably non-teaching.
