  •  All Ponzi schemes blow up sometime (6+ / 0-)

Reaganomics is a big Ponzi scheme. It's a mechanism to turn your tax liability (which costs you money) into a loan you extend to the government (which makes you money).

Instead of paying $10,000 in taxes, wouldn't you like to loan that 10k to the government for 10 years and get $20,000 back? (Numbers not intended to reflect atual ROI rates.)

Anyway you gotta tell a lot of whopper to keep epople distracted for so long. But eventually the voodoo economics and the mountain of lies become to large to sustain.

The pendulm has swung to the right for 30+ years. It is now at that momentary pause, before swinging back. the GOP Old Guard senses this, and is lashing out in a death spasm. (Metaphorically.)

an I'm talking in time-frames of Days to a few Weeks, now I don't want to count on that happening in a few months BUT if it cracks it'll shatter like Glass it could well be that there is no Republican Party by the middle of October.

The pace of change creeps along, then there is a damburst event, and all sorts of things change rapidly. This is a repeated pattern. I suspect such an event is near. The lies, the 30 year drain on the middle class, the obvious effects of climate change, the end of the world NOT occurring due to ObamaCare, the aging of the Commie-Fearing Boomers ... all these are coming to a head at the same time. The GOP cannot keep all those balls in the air. The GOP will not go away but a younger generation will start pushing aside the deadwood like McConnell and Boehner from leadership spots.

that our government makes the money in the first place.
Where the scam comes in is in handing it to the banks and then our government borrowing it back, giving the banks a cut, to spend on public projects.
We have created a class of middlemen whose apparent function is to obstruct the free flow of trade and exchange by hijacking our currency and using it to play with as if it were a volleyball.

We organize governments to provide benefits and prevent abuse.

The 1% proboscis has been sucking money out of the middle class from a number of avenues. Bottom line, the system has been rigged to transfer money from you and I and give it to Mitt Romney. Not earn, give. There is little more to Reaganomics than that.
