whatever one thinks about his sexual appetite the guy would get the job done.

    •  I couldn't agree more. Spitzer would be the one. (4+ / 0-)

Spitzer didn't bs about what he did when charged; he fessed up (compared to another Dem from NY, denying all the while a photo of his 'pencil' flew around the internet,); so in that regard I always thought he 'manned up.'  He took responsibility for his escapades.

Who among us has not made mistakes in our lives that we wouldn't particularly want known to others?  I believe that the way you separate the men from the boys, is specifically in this regard, that when you make a mistake you recognize it, take responsibility and go about correcting it.  That to me is a definition of a real man.  Because no one is perfect.

Also, he has not tried to whitewash his hubris.  Frankly, I don't care what people do in their private sexual lives (as long as they are not abusing anyone,) however like the Big Dawg and Edwards, his hubris told him that he could play with fire and not get caught.  So, he found out that he was not Zeus, but, in fact, Icarus.  Hopefully his lesson has been learned.

So, in my opinion, he's been out in the 'penalty box' long enough.  He talks freely about his mistakes from all these perspectives.  Good.  Now its time to get him to use his considerable talents for the Democratic Party again.

My God, Edward M. Kennedy is a huge story of redemption and transformation.  He came back and made huge contributions to the commonweal and gained a huge amount of respect.  Eliot is fully capable of this type of rebirth.

So, I couldn't agree more with this suggestion of Eliot Spitzer for the new Attorney General.
