     we can do this.  we can define, or better, renew what it is to be america and americans.  we can do this.   we can end this nascent facsism while holding open a big, inclusive tent that increasingly holds more and more americans.  

    i was deeply moved last night.

      I still don't know whether he will be the greatest president of my lifetime, or simply the man who held back the flood for a few more years.  Gotta have faith.

        to be asking.

        because it stands outside and observes and asks the question.  

        because it is a 'consumerist' viewpoint.

        because it overlooks the emotional foundation of last night's speech, a foundation which asks the question 'are you in?' 'will you go the distance?'  that's where the faith lies.
