view of the President tossing his principles into the trash and only running because he doesn't want another Bush.

That's the most favorable view of this cartoon?

Wouldn't blame him if he did but still not getting that's the whole concept.

You mean his naivete?  I'm happy enough not to have another Bush and I think that's a perfectly fine message.  A return to Bushian policies, such as Romney would deliver, would finish the destruction of the country.

Remembering and avoiding such is a fantastic idea in my books.

... Erich, because you have to be utterly naive to think a sensible Democrat doesn't understand that politically the President, who's somehow smart enough to beat the Clinton machine, whup Romney on every front and get the first major overhaul of healthcare done, had to act all "bi-partisany" so that the country could now blame the real forces behind obstruction. That's why Republicans face their lowest favorability ratings in history. That's why Congressional Republicans have even lower favorability ratings.

Only Republicans would be able to get away with yelling "obstructionists" without first attempting to work with the other party in some sort of good faith.

It is naive to believe the President is that naive.

I would tip you, but the man took away my tips.
