    downright bad. But she's undergone some king of change with her more high profile position at CBS news. Maybe that's what allowed her to do this? She has great talents that is for sure.

    Whatever. I applaud her for this all too seldom seen journalism that really counts! Let's see more, Norah!

      Women have shorter careers on camera in broadcast journalism, because they're secret role is to be "girlfriend" or "charming wife" typically. Later in their careers sometimes, certain women attempt to break out of the cycle that they themselves have been playing into themselves. Still, it's rare. Fortunately Rachel Maddow is redefining what women's roles in broadcast media can be, and which physical types and sensibilities can be considered "desirable" and "mainstream."
