More importantly, people need to come to realize political propaganda when they hear it, a process that is inevitable, if all too slow to develop.

In order for this to happen,
    George Soros,
    or Warren Buffet,
    or grassroots donors,
    or all the above,
need to send to every address in the USA,
    a lifetime subscription
    to Mad Magazine.

With fun poked at everything from politics to popular culture,

    Mad Magazine simply ridicules everyone,
    and every idea,
which creates in the mind of the reader
    of Mad Magazine,
    that thing,
    I think it's called
    critical thinking.

I tend to think of the GOP Noise Machine in comparison to totalitarian propaganda machines like that of the USSR, on which it is modeled.

Now, there came a point at which the entire population of the USSR became very sophisticated in reading propaganda. They knew how to decipher the reality-based sub-text inevitably indicated by the propaganda. Grinding reality eventually forced even supporters of the regime to become adept at consciously decoding propaganda.

That MUST happen here. It is inevitable. It's already happened for a significant portion of the population. That portion must grow to critical mass, the tipping point.

Well, an over-saturation of advertising hastens that day. As people tire of the ads, they tire of an increasingly shrill, white noise message. Irritation with the ads lessens the impact of the repetitive message hammered at in those ads.

Our saving grace is that the Right Wing cannot help itself--it always over-reaches and ends up alienating the people.
