  •  I think Indiana is a sleeper race (11+ / 0-)

(R)ass showed Mourdock only up a Romney +16 sample. Donnelly is almost certainly ahead, yet there have been no polls.

    •  I really want to see more IN polling (1+ / 0-)

If the Senate race heats up, it wouldn't take that much of a kick to voter turnout in Indianapolis and NW Indiana, coupled with some depressed turnout in the redder areas, to start tipping the top of the ticket back our way.

Granted, if we're winning Indiana by a hair, we're already solidly ahead in Ohio and Michigan and have the Electoral College sewed up, but still, it would be nice to see Indiana as a surprise Obama win this fall. It's not at all implausible.

Intended to be a factual statement.

IN has been written off as a fluke since 08, but fact of the matter is A BLACK DEMOCRAT WON ONE OF THE WHITEST, MOST CONSISTENTLY REPUBLICAN STATES IN THE UNION. I'm sure its an uphill battle, but one worth having.

There is truth on all sides. The question is how much.
