  •  I was wondering (7+ / 0-)

when you would show up.  ;)

    Love you Timbuk and thanks.

Did the hydroponic lettuce make it?  I saw an article in one of the doctors offices not too long ago and it reminded me I never found out if they made it full term.  I think I did get an update not too long after you started it, but that was a while ago.

We had some planted outside in the spring, and will be planting a fall crop this weekend.

I need to get a new grow light, and we'll have it in the basement this winter.

But, yeah, we got some lettuce out of the first hydroponic planting. It was delicious.

Re: I was wondering when you'd show up; I'm mostly a lurker these days. I'm only home on the weekends, and don't want to spend time blogging, then. Weekdays, I spend all day researching things by computer and then writing "position papers" about it, so I'm a bit like the carpenter you ask to help you fix a door on the weekend. No, I don't want to do MY JOB when I'm not at work.

I'm opinionated (and ornery) as ever, but it's all so time-consuming.

I believe you're on the mend, that it's "not a big deal", but I'm REALLY glad you're getting a quilt. You deserve to know how many of us love you.

BTW, you asked in one of the links I posted how my mom's doing. She's doing GREAT! In full remission, and back to complaining about going blind (macular degeneration, I mean, can you blame her?) and not being able to drive (with MD...seriously, mom?) But the Hodgkins Lymphoma is "gone", and she's eating fine.

      Thanks for asking.

That's so in character, for you.

You're really the best. I hope your treatment is as successful as you know it will be.

    •  Oh, and Alma? (7+ / 0-)

I don't always reply to your posts on "the other blog", but I read them.

Thanks for taking the time to post them.
