    The feeling is anger, or perhaps rage or hatred, and that's between you and your neurochemicals (after all, you can't deny that the mind of a living person is dependent upon their biological brain).  

    The statement "religion is what killed our ambassador" is not an emotion, it's a belief, as arbitrary as any other second-hand attempt at attribution, and on its face "not even wrong."  

    Speaking of George Tiller, he was religious too: he was in church when he was assassinated.  

    So: if religion makes people shoot each other, what do you have to say about the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King?  Or Bishop Desmond Tutu?  Or George Tiller for that matter?  What about Quaker pacifists?  

    Seems to me your hypothesis doesn't stand up to scrutiny.  

    "Minus two votes for the Democrat" equals "plus one vote for the Republican." Arithmetic doesn't care about your feelings.
