    I said it yesterday, and I will say it again today: This is a very perilous time for the president's re-election effort, and it would be even more perilous if he weren't running against a man who would screw up a two-car funeral if you spotted him the hearse. Events, as someone once said, are in the saddle at this point. I am not sanguine that the United States can "bring to justice" the leaders of the mob that murdered Christopher Stevens in Libya. Not in under a decade, anyway. The president already has slid away from calling the new government in Egypt our ally. And Yemen is an entirely different cauldron.
