are the gorilla in the room in this 'crisis' that everyone - except OWS and the masses - is determined to ignore.

Bush deserves primary blame but Obama's failure to prosecute.......

Allowing things to continue - without ANY accountability, indeed REWARDING those who quite literally broke the system - is one of the reasons that things have not improved.

As is, there are incentives for banks and Wall Street to continue their bad behavior.

'Predator Nation' by Ferguson is a far more apt narrative

Events brought about by lawbreaking cannot be dealt with - or undone - when the lawbreakers remain unpunished.

Life isn't fair but you should try to leave it fairer than you found it.

    •  Yes, well, justice and the legitimacy of our... (0+ / 0-)

legal system will have to wait a couple of months. Then I swear we'll see prosecutions. The streets of lower Manhattan will be swollen with bankers being paraded to Court in handcuffs. I can see it in the President's eyes, he wants to give a shit about the rule of law, he really does. If you could just look past the entirety of his Treasury Department and his leadership at DOJ, you'd see it too.

Obama could most certainly be in trouble.

he just got for FISA again.

they've started drilling in the arctic

and still with the assasinations killing lots of civilians.

Obama is shrewd, that's for sure:

      americans don't care about privacy
      americans want their suv's
americans don't care if brown people die when we go after terrorists.

he's weakening privacy and expanding executive authority and  strengthening the police state.

can't wait to see what he does with his "mandate".  Methinks even the diehard fans are in for some serious disappointment.

who our own dead-enders are gonna be, and if it'll take six months, a year or two years to get to that point. I think it largely depends on whether or not he goes after Social Security in December.
