    Something like the biometric reader would be akin to government fingerprinting of the general public.

    I'm really uncomfortable with that level of loss of privacy.

      the RWNJs grabbing for their guns.  They don't even want to give information to the Census Bureau, much less anything more intrusive.

      There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

      as a kid, if you went to any county fair. I understand if giving a current print would be uncomfortable. I can't think of another good way to assign unique identifiers to people without assigning numbers to them. We could assign a voter ID# card to every registered voter, and tie those numbers to a database, but then we're back to the same system that we use today.

      Maybe its a generational thing, but I am not fazed by letting Uncle Sam know what the grooves on my fingers look like.
