it is a savage game.   i don't give a damn if you think taht is too macho.

or offensive.  no wonder you name call me and say i am bs........

politics is very rough.  it is in the mud.  i didn't invent it, or participate as a politician looking for power.

i just stated my observation that gore was not tough enough to fight rove/bush family muscle.

and yes, in 2000 he changed every other week and even changed his clothes.   earth tones......after wearing a suit for 25 years.   yea.  a phoney.  an obvious one.

sure W was a phoney,  but an academy award actor.   harvard/yale club fooled the country into thinking he was a dumb hick.

playing into what.  the political game.   it's rough.   krugman is blaming the press for gore's weaknesses........

enough with the sanctimony.  krugman and you. doesn't work with me.

gore sucked at big stage, and was dumb to distance himself from willie.  really dumb.

You know "Earth Tones" was a media fabrication about Al Gore, right?

Yet you trash him for it.

      It was made up.

What name did I call you?  Norman Mailer?  I like Norman Mailer.

You seem very influenced by the broad conventional 'wisdom' that is propagated in the media.  You echo their lies and blame Al Gore for the fact that the press was in the tank for the insane sociopath Bush.

I agree that Gore was an awkward candidate and he didn't make our job any easier of selling his candidacy to our family and friends.  But the people who wouldn't support him for that were wrong, not us.

And I know we need charismatic TV friendly candidates to win the presidency.  It's why I didn't support Kerry for the nomination in spite of him being blatantly qualified to be president.  My whole life the gopers have been beating better candidates because they play better on TV.  A lesson they learned from JFK and have been playing to the hilt from Reagan on.  The only times they really bombed was with Old Bush who was the awkward one against Clinton and McCain against Obama the sensation.

I know all too well how petty our politics are.  You're not onto some deep unrevealed truth here.  This is Dailykos.  We know this stuff.  We aren't wet behind the ears innocents who don't know how rough politics are.  You should pay more attention to whom you are speaking before you start lecturing.  You barely speak in complete sentences and come on like you're going to school people here.  You embarrass yourself.

When the truth is only a matter of opinion, advantage goes to the liars.
