  •  I don't get it. (0+ / 0-)

I keep staring at it, but I don't understand what the intro is trying to say. I also don't know which districts are which because you didn't bother to mention it.

    Also: "lace curtain mexican"?

    •  I drew these maps based off of the districts that (0+ / 0-)

were used in the 99th through 102nd congresses, which I found to be the last non-gerrymandered map of Texas.

Here are the population of those districts:
      26 1835547
      7 1481183
      10 1336372
      23 1282924
      6 1229738
      22 1154433
      15 1125083
      8 1038771
      3 1023230
      21 957893
      4 957265
      14 953415
      12 936447
      11 900237
      24 858662
      16 840496
      27 797679
      5 763393
      2 749178
      25 696123
      9 688341
      17 676080
      1 668489
      19 603816
      13 580684
      20 510298
      18 499777

The idea was to have minimal changes among the districts with nine new districts

      - the 28th is created out of the 21st and 23rd
      - the 29th is created out of the 7th and 22nd
      - the 30th is created out of the 6th and 26th
      - the 31st is created out of the 10th and 11th
      - the 32nd is created out of the 3rd 12th 24th and 26th
      - the 33rd is created out of the 14th 15th 23rd and 27th
      - the 34th is created out of the 7th and 8th
      - the 35th is created out of the 26th and 12th
      - the 36th is created out of the 3rd, 4th and 26th.
