Why do you use a foreign language to make your point? To be honest, it was one of my blogs/diaries, in which I invested less time/effort, but still wanted to get something out topical.

    1) It's not really bait/switch, as theme runs throughout, but fair enough...I should've kept original title.

    2) Second, false choice indeed, which is why I suggested US media spend fraction of time on poverty/inequality they devoted to Pussy Riot.

    3) Obviously, compared to Niger, we look fantastic, just like Michael Jordan could kick my ass in basketball, but that would be a ridiculous comparison. The point was that Americans get ethno-centric view into reality, and is failing to reach its ideals/potential, not that other places suck.

you cannot swear in English like you can in Russian (or in German).

of that purely American half-cocked attitude which to the rest of theworld seems witlessly insulting.

      Dixi.

company! Krugman is my go-to-guy for pungent precise economic analysis---of course. To many millions I assume. I just love him for all he has taught me. Who makes more sense and does it so well?

Anyhow, this guy(I assume) who was dogging you, I didn't understand and thought perhaps he was a troll, but didn't think you'd have gone to the trouble if he was and didn't know anything about the particular issue. However, I always think it's good to explain yourself if inclined. But you do run across some who are just negative on and on and never stop so usually I don't converse with them. That's why I've stayed around here for 7 years I guess.

          Cheers!
